August Great Decisions Topic Announced: Rebuilding Haiti

Join us Wednesday evening, August 17th, from 6pm – 7:30pm, at Latter Memorial Library (5120 St. Charles) for an intelligent evening on the topic of Rebuilding Haiti.

Free and open to the public, Great Decisions is a series produced by the Foreign Policy Association. The series is designed to create a more informed and engaged citizenry by bringing people together to discuss global affairs. A facilitator will give an overview of the topic and then lead a balanced discussion. Come enjoy an evening of thoughtful discourse!

August 17th’s Great Decisions will feature Laila Hlass, a staff attorney in the Immigration Clinic at Loyola University New Orleans, College of Law, who will cover the topic “Rebuilding Haiti”. Hlass recently returned from a humanitarian visit to Haiti, and she will discuss her experiences there.
