Kanwal Dhir is currently manager of major accounts sales to large industrial customers in the Entergy system. He has lived and worked in several countries as well as in New Hampshire, Philadelphia, New York City, Long Island, NY, Lake Charles and New Orleans. Since moving to the U.S. in 1971 and becoming a citizen, Kanwal has been active in several national and international professional, business and civic organizations or boards such as:

Kanwal is a 1998 graduate of the Southwest Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Leadership Development and served as Chair of the South-West Louisiana Chamber Legislative Affairs Committee. He is also a past member of Councilwoman Jackie Clarkson’s Cabinet from Algiers. Kanwal has been married to Zenaida, a Philippine American, for over 32 years. He has two children, both currently attending college at the University of New Orleans.
