China Town Hall: Local Connections, National Reflections

Join the World Affairs Council and National Committee on United States-China Relations for the China Town Hall.  This event is a national day of programming designed to provide Americans across the United States with the opportunity to discuss issues relating to China with leading experts.

Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski former national security advisor for President Carter will be this years national speaker.  Dr. Zbigniew was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his role in the normalization of U.S.-Chinese relations and for his contributions to the human rights and national security policies of the United States. Dr. Brzezinski has also been on the faculty of Harvard and Columbia.  In New Orleans, the China Town Hall event will also feature Leland R. Miller a managing director and co-founder of Avascent International, a global investment risk advisory firm.  He has been a guest on media programs including FOX News, al-Jazeera, the BBC’s Newshour, and Geo TV (Pakistan) and speaks regularly at research centers such as the Heritage Foundation.
