Discover the historical importance New Orleans has had in Latin American history as part of the Spanish Empire (1762-1803), during Latin American Independence (1808-1830), as a refuge for exiles and filibusters in the 19th Century, and in cultural and international trade throughout our existence. The timing of the presentation coincides with the 200 years celebration of Mexican and Central American Independence on September 15, 2010.
